The Local Masonic Lodge #54 of Vassalboro is sponsoring a program aimed to promote reading. Bikes for Books is a reading incentive program designed for children in grades K-8. Bikes for Books is very simple, each student is asked to read as many age appropriate books as they can in a set amount of time. For each book they read (or have read to them for K-1st grades) the student gets an entry form to fill out and parents sign. After students complete the entry form they are put into the appropriate container for their class. These containers are located in the library. The more books the students read the more entry forms they can put into the drawing. When the program ends, Members of the Lodge will have an assembly during school and draw the name of 1 boy and 1 girl from each grade. The students drawn will get a bike and helmet to take home. The program will run from March 14th to April 30th with winners announced at our school wide concert in May. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FLYER

Good Luck and Happy Reading!!
A special thanks to Mr. Fortin and the Vassalboro Masonic Lodge.
